Hour of Code

December 5-9, 2022

We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works.

But only a tiny fraction of us are learning how technology works. Only 47% of all high schools teach computer science.

That’s why our entire school is joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code!

4 Steps for an Amazing Hour of Code!

1. Get excited about coding by watching this video with your class.

2. Pick tutorial(s) for your class to work on during Hour of Code (see suggested activities below).

3. Set aside about an hour (it can be broken up over multiple days) for students to code.

3. Share your Hour of Code experience on Twitter with the tag #HourofCode.

4. Celebrate success with your class. Link to printable certificates
