My name is Aura Djurisic.  I was born in Venezuela.  On April 2018 my family and I had the opportunity to move to Longview, Texas and start a new journey.

This is my sixth year teaching 5th grade at J.L. Everhart and I am very exited to start this new learning adventure.  I co-teach in a dual language classroom with the best teacher partner ever, Mrs. Saravia.  I am responsible for the components of reading language arts in Spanish, science and social studies of the dual language program. 

I had the blessing of receiving bilingual education, and speak three languages: Spanish, English, and Portuguese.  I want my students to not only become bilingual, but also be biliterate and bicultural.  I also want my students to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners, who have open-mindedness and are citizens of the world.
