Mi nombre es Magali Velázquez. Estoy casada, mi esposo se llama Humberto y tenemos dos maravillosas hijas, sus nombres son Selene y Eugenia. Soy mexicana nacida en la ciudad de Sabinas, Coahuila, México.

 Tengo una Licenciatura en Ciencias en Ingeniería Industrial de México y una Maestría en Administración de Empresas de Estados Unidos. Obtuve mis certificaciones de enseñanza a través del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Dallas. Mis certificaciones son EC-6, Bilingüe y Educación Especial. 

He sido profesora bilingüe desde hace 14 años. Este es mi décimo año en J. L. Everhart trabajando como maestra bilingüe de tercer grado y el tiempo que he trabajado aquí me ha hecho sentir parte de la comunidad.

Mi objetivo como educador comparte la misión del IB: formar jóvenes curiosos, informados y solidarios que ayuden a crear un mundo más pacífico a través del respeto y la comprensión intercultural.

Me siento muy orgullosa de ser parte de la formación académica de mis alumnos. El sueño que tengo para cada uno de ellos como inmigrante y representante de minorías es que se independicen y tenga un futuro exitoso, siempre orgullosos de sus raíces, cultura y familia.

My name is Magali Velazquez. I am married, my husband's name is Humberto and we have two wonderful daughters, their names are Selene and Eugenia. I am Mexican born in the city of Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico.

 I hold a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Mexico and a Master of Business Administration from the United States. I obtained my teaching certifications through the Dallas Independent School District. My certifications are EC-6, Bilingual, and Special Education. 

I have been a bilingual teacher for 14 years. This is my tenth year at J. L. Everhart working as a third grade bilingual teacher and my time working here has made me feel like a part of the community.

My goal as an educator shares the mission of the IB: to develop curious, informed, and caring young people who help create a more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

I feel very proud to be part of the academic formation of my students. The dream I have for each of them as an immigrant and representative of minorities is that they become independent and have a successful future, always proud of their roots, culture, and family.
