Academic learning at home resources have been created to provide opportunities for students to engage in meaningful learning experience during the school closure. Below you will find a list of activities that your child can complete both independently and with your support.
Learning Logs are to be completed each day when work is done. These logs will be turned in when school resumes. Your teacher will be in contact with you this week. If you have any questions, please contact your teacher.
Read and write every day! Record the title of the book/text and the pages read each day in your learning log.
Keep an “At-Home Journal” writing at least 20 mins a day about your experience and reflections of our country’s/district’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Research pandemics and find out how they were handled historically. Create a chart that includes each pandemic you research, and the information you find out about what caused it, how it was handled by society or the government, and what we learned from it.
Once you have completed your research and chart, present your findings to a family member or friend. You may want to record your presentation on your phone and send it to a friend or classmate. Also, you may want to display your chart/findings somewhere in the house so that others in your home can learn from your research.
