Gagana Samoa is the study of the Samoan language. There is an emphasis on developing writing skills using the models of descriptive writing, Folasaga, notices, directions, dialogue and narrative writing. Emphasis is also on developing oral skills and communication between students. History, traditions and customs are explored within the context of each unit covered. Tu ma aga fa’asāmoa will be explored within each unit of learning.

Internal Credits: 14 Level 3 Gagana Sāmoa Credits
External Credits: 10 Level 3 Gagana Sāmoa Credits
Entry Recommendations: 12 Credits at Level 2 Gagana Sāmoa is required; however, special consideration will be given to those students who can demonstrate sufficient competency in Gagana Sāmoa.
