LEVEL 3 PHOTOGRAPHY – L3PHOTO

Qualification: NCEA Level 3

Learners will extend their skills and understanding in Photography as they develop their own Art-making practice. Learners will extend their work focusing on the external folio. They will be able to develop their own body of work, select their own artist models and generate work that is truly their own.

Learners who are wanting to work in any creative fields, engineering, product design, science based fields can also benefit from working in the Arts.

They will develop problem solving, project-management and analytical thinking through their folio production.

Course Components:

Exploring more in depth photography models and conventions

Developing their own subject matter and ideas for their own photography body of work.

Extending this both thematically and technically into an external folio.

External Credits: 14

Internal Credits: 8 (12 credits for an internal only program)

Literacy: 4

Entry Recommendations: Students need to have completed level 2 in their chosen field in order to have this as an UE subject. Students who have not completed Level 2 can select this for an internal only programme, but need to discuss with HOLA
