LEVEL 3 Outdoor Education – L3OED

Learning Area: Health & Physical Education

Qualification: NCEA Level 3

Students will learn through adventure, in and about the outdoors. They will also learn about sustainability, survival skills and how to be in and respect our natural environment. Learners will experience and learn about Adventure Based Learning (ABL). Then use these experiences to organise and facilitate an ABL programme for junior students in which learners will be able to develop their leadership skills.

Entry Recommendations: An interest in exploring and learning about the outdoors as well as working with younger people and developing leadership skills.
