Learning Area: Health & Physical Education
Qualification: NCEA Level 3
Students will learn through adventure, in and about the outdoors. They will also learn about sustainability, survival skills, and how to be in and respect our natural environment. Learners will experience and learn about outdoor activities. Then they will use this knowledge in real-life outdoor activities and experiences, which will help develop their leadership and outdoor education skills.

Entry Recommendations: An interest in exploring and learning about the outdoors, as well as working within a group and developing leadership skills. A reasonable level of fitness and the ability to uphold all Ngā Uara (School values) as we represent our school every week within our hapori (community). A signed contract by learner and whānau, agreeing to the course expectations.
