This course focuses on the big factors that influence trends and patterns in wellbeing and health across our communities and Aotearoa as a whole. Ākonga will learn to evaluate with Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the foundation, listening in and learning from a variety of attitudes, values, beliefs, knowledge systems, worldviews and practices to do with wellbeing and health, further strengthening the critical thinking practiced in the Level 2 course.
There are 19 credits on offer for 2025, 14 internal and 5 external. All credits count towards University Entrance Reading. Only the external counts towards University Entrance Writing.

Ethical issues associated with attitudes, values, health and wellbeing
Rongoā Māori and other health practices for treating and managing health conditions
Strategising equitable improvements in health issues (Aotearoa and international)
