The Gateway Programme provides the opportunity for workplace experience and learning, strengthening pathways to further education and training or employment. Learners develop employability skills and explore career pathways, with individualised programmes tailored to suit their needs and interests.This Level 3 Gateway programme is for students who have a defined pathway and can self-manage a year-long learning programme.

Learners best suited to participate in the Gateway Programme will be: motivated to learn in the workplace and work ready; capable of undertaking self-managed learning; reliable, with a good attendance record.

Course Components:

Sustained work placement, approximately 1 day per week for an extended period. Options available for work experience with structured learning plans: Early Childhood Education, Aged Care/Nursing,

Internal Credits: Students required to complete at least 20 Unit Standard credits.

Entry Recommendations: Interview - Students need to be work ready, and capable of independent learning.
