This course is designed to build on the skills learnt in year 12 Design and Visual Communication. For learners who are interested in harnessing design influence and past knowledge to develop an appreciation of the nature of design technology. It is made up of both internal and external Achievement Standards. Learners will produce a professional quality portfolio of work based on the learners’ own design brief. They will learn to research, produce freehand sketches, render and design for print as well as use 3D computer software. Learners will focus on mastering their ideation and design thinking.
