Classical Studies is the study of the ancient civilisations of Greece and Rome and how they influence the modern world. Much of our art, science, literature, law, philosophy, politics and religion comes from ancient Greece and Rome.
If you enjoy subjects like History, English, Languages, Music and the Arts, you may like to consider Classics. These subjects help prepare you for careers in law, politics, government, teaching, journalism, publishing, the media and communications, and in any of the creative professions. Students who take this course will learn to interpret ancient sources, to analyse classical ideas and values and evaluate art and architecture in its classical context. By the end of the course students will be able to make a comparison between Greek and Roman civilisations and our modern world.
