LEVEL 3 CHEMISTRY – L3CHEM
Learning Area: Science
Qualification: NCEA Level 3
Chemists interpret the world from an atomic and molecular perspective. This course builds on Level 2 ideas about redox, aqueous, quantitative chemistry and explores new areas such as qualitative analysis e.g. spectroscopy, in addition to thermochemistry. Level 3 Chemistry opens up a wide variety of career opportunities in Nursing, Primary Industries (e.g.Wine Making and Manufacturing), Engineering, Health Science, Pharmaceuticals, Veterinary Science, Environmental Science and Sustainability or Food Science. It complies with University Entrance subject requirements.
Course Components:
Spectroscopy, Oxidation-Reduction, Thermochemistry and Organic Chemistry.
