LEVEL 2 SOCIAL ACTION FOR LIFE- L2S0C4L
Learning Area: Social Sciences
Qualification: NCEA Level 2
In 2026, the students of Social Action for Life will delve into a vast variety of assessments that are based upon real life situations and circumstances that impact you as students about to enter into the adult world. This course focuses on important elements within society, such as consequences of crime, rights and responsibilities as New Zealand citizens, stress management, and problem solving. From it, you'll gain credits, but also valuable knowledge to take with you as you grow. This course is a supported learning course that does require some self driven motivation - and a level of literacy competence. You will be working independently to complete these assessments, though there will be some opportunities to work with others, as well as some external learning opportunities outside of school. This course will suit you if you are motivated to complete unit assessments, following a period of independent or group learning to develop confidence with particular topics.
