LEVEL 2 MUSIC – L2MUS

In this course students will build on the knowledge and skills of Level 1 Music. Students will focus learning towards 

Music Technology: Students will future explore the importance of technology in music. Using notation software, online music resources to hone in on personal skills. Students will practice live sound in a performance setting and start recording, producing on Logic.

Music Instrumental: Students will further develop their skill on instruments. Students will have an opportunity to participate in bands and groups and have the opportunity to showcase talent in a performance setting.

Exploring music: Students will learn about New Zealand artists, songwriting and composition and acquire an understanding of music theory and compositional devices help guide students through external exams

There is an emphasis on performance skills thus learners are expected to be enrolled in tuition in an instrument either through the college, or privately.
