LEVEL 2 DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGIES:  SOFT MATERIALS – L2FAB

In this course learners will develop their sewing and product development skills in one or two separate projects of their choice.  One project will involve surface decoration techniques, while the other will look at testing materials for suitability of use in the intended item.  This course is designed for learners with an interest in a fashion and design pathway.

Course Components:

Undertake brief development to address an issue

Undertake effective development to make and trial a prototype

Demonstrate understanding of the role of material evaluation in product development

Incorporate applied design in fabric
