This course delves into the dynamic relationship of Earth's geological processes. . It includes exploring the forces that shape the rocks of our planet, conducting an Earth and Space Science practical Investigation, critically analyzing the implications of space discoveries, exploring how geology has a role in the distribution of organisms and how extreme geological events shape our planet . By integrating these diverse disciplines, this course will provide you with a holistic understanding of our planet and its ever-changing geology.
Course Components:
A.S 2.4 Investigate how organisms survive in extreme environments (4 credits)
A.S 2.1 Carry out a practical Earth and Space investigation (4 credits)
A.S 2.2 Examine an Earth and Space Science issue and the validity of the information communicated to the public (4 credits)
A.S 2.3 - Investigate geological processes in a New Zealand locality (4 credits)
A.S 2.5 - Demonstrate understanding of the causes of extreme Earth events in New Zealand (4 credits)
