LEVEL 1 VISUAL ART – L1VIA (including Photography + Sculpture)

In this course learners will generate and develop their own artmaking ideas based around their own theme. They will have the opportunity to explore their ideas through drawing, painting and photography. They will work collaboratively to create work, as well as individually.
Learners will have the opportunity to exhibit your work to the wider community. EOTC will help inform and develop our ideas for our artwork.
Learners who are wanting to work in any creative fields, engineering, product design, science based fields can also benefit from working in the Visual Arts.
Learners will develop problem solving, project-management and analytical thinking through their folio production.
Course Components:
Exploring a range of drawing and mixed media approaches
Extending own ideas into different art making approaches using artists models.
Presenting and submitting a body of artwork in the form of an external folio and workbook submission.
External Credits: 10 ( 2 external standards)
Internal Credits: 10 ( two internal standards)

Entry Recommendations: There are no pre -requisites for this course, however completing the art option in year 10 would be advantageous.
