Japanese is a unique and exciting language, and with New Zealand's growing international connections, learning another language becomes essential for developing crucial skills in respectful global interactions. Throughout this course, we explore Japan's rich traditions and modern culture, while gaining proficiency in using the language in various everyday scenarios in both oral and written communication.
Course Components:
Topics covered in this class will be focused around the learners’ immediate world. These can include but are not limited to:
Whakawhanaungatanga - Relationship building and establishing connections
Hauora - Health and wellbeing, food, daily routine
Manaakitanga - showing respect and care, school life and events
External Credits: 10 Level 1 Japanese
Internal Credits: 10 Level 1 Japanese
Entry Recommendations: Year 10 Japanese for Level 1 is required.
