Our goal is to provide your child with a working device to access online learning. Sometimes, issues arise and help may be needed. Please use this resource as a path to get your child back on track for a successful learning experience.

Chromebook is not working properly such as:

  • Internet connection

  • Won’t turn on

  • No sound

  • Not charging

First try this...

  • Not starting?

    • Plug in the device. Wait 5 minutes and try again.

  • Always try a Restart for any issue.

    • If a Chromebook is having issues, turn it off and then on again. You can also perform a reset by pressing REFRESH + POWER - this fixes a lot of issues, including screen not turning on, sluggish, locked up and more.

  • Make sure the device is connected to the Internet. See Chromebook FAQs .

Who to Contact

The Learning Commons Paraprofessionals (LCP) are the best place to start. The LCP can do some trouble-shooting either over the phone or through email with you. The LCP may find it necessary to contact the technology department for further assistance. Below is the list of LCPs for each elementary school.

Start with some of our links to guides about the programs or software. If that does not answer your question, then check with your child’s teacher. The teacher will be able to help with the issue or point you to a resource for further assistance.
