Biography

I am married and I have 5 children and 2 grandchildren.  I have wanted to be a teacher since middle school when I was a Sunday School teacher.  I graduated from Rutgers University where I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology and certification in Elementary Education.  I furthered my education at Rowan University where I earned by Master's degree in Teacher Leadership and my certification as a English as a Second Language teacher.    

This is my 19th year of teaching.  I have taught English as a Second Language for 12 years and I love it!  This is my 5 th year at Lindenwold School 5.  

I have taught students from many different countries including Mexico, Salvador, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Burma, China, India, Malaysia, Syria, Turkey, and Ecuador to name a few.   I have also had the honor of hosting World Refugee Day in Somerdale, New Jersey two years in a row where I met families from all of the world that have made the United States their home.  Teaching English Language Learners is my passion and I love what I do!  I am so fortunate to learn so much from my students about their country and culture.  

I am excited every year to meet my students and learn their stories!

Estoy casado y tengo 5 hijos y 2 nietos. He querido ser maestra desde la escuela secundaria cuando era maestra de escuela dominical. Me gradué de la Universidad de Rutgers, donde obtuve mi Licenciatura en Psicología y mi certificación en Educación Primaria. Continué mi educación en la Universidad de Rowan, donde obtuve una Maestría en Liderazgo Docente y mi certificación como maestra de inglés como segundo idioma.

Este es mi decimonoveno año de enseñanza. ¡He enseñado inglés como segundo idioma durante 12 años y me encanta! Este es cinco año en Lindenwold School 5.

He enseñado a estudiantes de muchos países diferentes, incluidos México, Salvador, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Birmania, China, India, Malasia, Siria, Turquía y Ecuador, por nombrar algunos. También tuve el honor de organizar el Día Mundial del Refugiado en Somerdale, Nueva Jersey, dos años seguidos, donde conocí a familias de todo el mundo que han hecho de los Estados Unidos su hogar. ¡Enseñar a estudiantes del idioma inglés es mi pasión y amo lo que hago! Soy muy afortunada de aprender tanto de mis alumnos sobre su país y su cultura.
