A Quality Education for a Quality Life

Welcome to LPECC!At LPECC each teacher uses the Creative Curriculum and the Louisiana Birth to Five Early Learning and Development Standards to plan daily instruction. The required Standards can be found on the louisianabelieves@la.gov website. We assess the children often using the Teaching Strategies Gold assessment tool.
Each member of our faculty is dedicated to helping all children have a positive experience as they learn through purposeful play every day. Growing and learning is accomplished as the teachers guide the children using activities that encourage curiosity, personal challenges, and sensory awareness. This approach allows the faculty to address each child’s individual needs and learning styles as they encourage them to reach their individual potentials through the discoveries they make each day.
LPECC offers a French Immersion option that addresses the same Louisiana Birth to Five Standards however it is taught in French for the entire day. This is an option that must be requested at registration to be included in the program. These children will be not only learning their skills in English but French as well. If desired, they may continue in the Immersion Program through fifth grade.
We welcome parent involvement and offer several opportunities for parents to be involved in their child’s learning experiences throughout the year. As with any age child, a strong relationship between home and school is extremely beneficial to the success of the child.Melinda KillenDirector
