Lincoln Elementary School District #27 has created a Remote Learning Plan for the school closure due to the concerns regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This plan allows schools to be in session without students and staff being physically present in our schools.

eLearning Updates

03/20/2020 - Schools will be closed until April 13. Spring Break will still be scheduled for April 4 to April 13.

03/16/2020 - School offices will be open until 3pm on Monday, March 16 if students need to pick up a device, Remote Learning packets or medications.

03/15/2020 - Breakfast and lunch sacks will be available each day of the school closure from 11:30am to 12:00pm at the Central Elementary bus drop off, Northwest Elementary office and Washington-Monroe office.

03/13/2020 - In response to the Coronavirus and as directed by the Governor of Illinois, all Illinois schools will be closed starting Monday, March 16 and will reopen on Tuesday, March 31.

Many companies are offering free services to students and their families during the COVID-19 closures to help children continue to learn even though they cannot be in the classroom. Comcast is offering free internet to families that qualify. If interested, visit internetessentials.com and instructions for accessing the Xfinity Hotspots for free can be found at this link.

These programs may be of interest to you, but are web-based and require internet and a device. Please help us figure out how to best meet your technology needs during this school closure by completing the Technology in the Home - Survey.


Remote Learning Plan for K-5

  • Teachers sent home learning materials for Remote Learning Days for the first 3 weeks of Remote Learning.

  • Starting on April 13, all students will be provided with a District Device. Lessons will be available at Teacher Sites for Grades ECE-1 and on Google Classroom for Grades 2-5.

  • At the K-5 level, students need to complete the assigned activities for their grade level.

  • Assignments for Grades ECE-1 can be found at this site by clicking on your child's grade under Teacher Sites.

  • Work assigned on the eLearning Day will be a review of concepts already covered in class.

  • Completion of the assignments are due within 2 weeks upon returning to school from the Remote Learning Days.

  • Parents are asked to sign off that their child did the work assigned.


eLearning Plan for Grades 6-8

  • Teachers will communicate assignment expectations with students via their classes on Google Classroom.

  • Students have been trained on where and how to access these assignments. If a student does not have internet access outside of school, they need to contact Mr. Workman at mworkman@lincoln27.net.

  • Google Classroom can be accessed on any internet capable device.

  • The Remote Learning Day assignments are due as directed by teachers..
