This is a digital journal for reflective writing. This linked and interactive document allows for shared discussions. The students created documents and hyperlinks for each class to attach to each entry. The assignments in the journal reflect the topic or lesson at the time in ELA IV, giving the students an opportunity to reflect and share in open-ended writings.

"Pretty Ugly" Poem Student Work - English IV
Abdullah Shoaib wrote the inspirational palindromic poem entitled Pretty Ugly. When you read it through, you notice a negative connotation. When you read it from bottom to top, the message is reversed, and the message has turned positive! The ELA IV students took an adjective that matched their own mood or feelings and developed a palindromic poem using Shoaib's style!
