Welcome to Lina's Learners, a Home-based Childcare program, located in Merrillville, Indiana!
Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment, where children thrive while learning essential life and education skills. We strive to foster cooperation and strong relationships between children, parents, and teachers, and strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We believe that a cooperative atmosphere is vital for introducing children to the world around them and igniting their curiosity.
Lina's Learners unique program serves as an Infant/Toddler Program/Pre-K, exclusively caring for a small group of children ages 6 weeks to 4 years old.

Enrollment Process
Choosing a childcare provider can be a stressful process for parents. If you have not done so already, I implore you to look through my Facebook business page, LINA'S LEARNERS before deciding to proceed with the enrollment process. While I would love to enroll every child whose parent is interested, I know that my program may not fit every family. Finding the right provider for your family is imperative.
If you are interested and feel as though my program aligns with your family and child(ren), please continue below for the process.
STEP 1: Read through my website and some of the policies.
STEP 2: Call/Text me at 219-649-0089, e-mail me your interest at celina@linaslearners.com,
OR complete the waitlist form linked above to inquire about openings.

Desired hours of care?
Desired Start Date?
Potty Trained?
Private Pay or CCDF Voucher?
Your name and phone number?
Will this be for Long-Term or Short-Term Care?
Is your child able to participate in the daily age-appropriate activities?
Any other details that you feel that I should know about your child.
STEP 3: After receiving your phone call or e-mail, I will reply to your inquiry and let you know if there is a spot available and then schedule an in-person interview and tour.
*During the In-person interview/tour, I will show you the daycare area and tell you more detailed information about my program. I will also go over my policies and procedures with you. If your family feels that Lina's Learners is a good fit and you decide to continue with the enrollment process, you will receive an enrollment packet.

The spot is NOT yours until I receive all of the enrollment paperwork and your deposit fee.
I interview several families for each spot available and cannot guarantee a spot until I have received all of the required documents. If I have several families interested in the same spot, I will choose the family that I believe would best fit my small program. While I would love to accept everyone, I try to make the best decision for my childcare business and family.
STEP 4: After reading through the parent handbook and agreeing to abide by the terms, please contact me as soon as possible to complete the enrollment process.

(CCDF) Childcare Vouchers Accepted!!!
The Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) is a federal program that helps low-income families get childcare so that they may work, attend training or continue their education. In Indiana, CCDF is managed by the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) in the Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning.
To apply for the CCDF voucher program, you can visit EarlyEdConnect.FSSA.IN.gov or contact your local intake agent.
