Students should be walked to the building entrance and a staff member will accept them and get them signed in each morning. Children are expected to stay in the designated areas unless accompanied by a staff member. Depending on the bus schedules, children will be escorted to the bus area if they attend an elementary school other than Bill Burden ES to get on the appropriate bus to the campus. Children who attend Bill Burden ES will be escorted to their designated area.
*All Morning Club requests that require transportation will take up to 5 days processing time to allow the transportation department ample time to plan for additional students.
Students should report to Liberty Hill Extended Care with all their belongings immediately after the school bell rings. Staff will take attendance daily. Children are expected to stay in the designated areas unless accompanied by a staff member. Children are only permitted to leave the campus when they have been properly signed out by a person previously approved in our portal by the parent/guardian. Once children have been signed out from extended care, they must leave the campus.
Parents or approved persons listed on the child’s account are required to come to the door of the campus and a staff member will assist them in signing their child out each day. A staff member will positively identify the person who is picking up the child. Please note everyone who enters Panther Extended Care to pick up a child will need a valid picture ID. NO EXCEPTIONS. Any child who is not registered for Panther Extended Care will not be permitted to stay at Panther Extended Care.
Children are expected to:
● Check in with staff upon arrival daily
● Stay with the group at all times
● Respect school and program property
● Report illness or injury promptly to staff
● Keep personal belongings secured in backpacks
● Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible.
Our staff is committed to maintaining a safe, fun, and respectful environment for all students. Liberty Hill Extended Care partners with parents and students to encourage positive behavior, teach conflict resolution skills, and support student success. The program follows both the Liberty Hill ISD Student Handbook and Code of Conduct, in addition to the policies outlined in this handbook. These documents are available at www.libertyhill.txed.net.
1st Offense: Parents/guardians will be contacted, and arrangements must be made for immediate child pick-up. The child will remain supervised by a staff member until the parent/guardian arrives.
2nd Offense: Suspension from Liberty Hill Extended Care for 1–3 days immediately following the incident. Duration of suspension is based on the severity of the offense. The Site Lead or staff member will conference with the parent/guardian at pickup and review the details of the incident. Parents will also receive written communication from the Program Coordinator detailing the suspension and outlining the consequences in the event of a third offense. Parents may request a meeting with the Program Coordinator to further review this information.
3rd Offense: A third disciplinary offense may result in removal from Liberty Hill Extended Care for the remainder of the school year following a review of all documentation.
Significant Behavior Incidents: Liberty Hill Extended Care reserves the right to immediately suspend or remove a child from the program following a single significant behavior incident if the Program Coordinator determines the behavior jeopardizes the safety, well-being, or operation of the program. Examples may include, but are not limited to, serious physical aggression, threats, repeated unsafe behavior, destruction of property, or conduct that places students or staff at risk.
In all cases, disciplinary actions are determined with fairness, consistency, and the best interest of all students in mind. Should the Program Coordinator decide to remove a child from the program, the child will be ineligible to re-enroll in Liberty Hill Extended Care for the remainder of the school year.
