BBE Attendance Reminders

Regular school attendance is essential. Absences from class may result in serious disruption of a student’s education. The student and parent should avoid unnecessary absences.

A parent must provide an explanation for any absence upon the student’s arrival or return to school. The student must submit a note signed by the parent or complete Burden's Online Attendance Form. The campus will document in its attendance records whether the absence is excused or unexcused.

COMING SOON

to a 4th grade classroom near you,

“The One and Only Ivan”!

We are excited to announce that we have finished our reading of Katherine Applegate’s “The One and Only Ivan”!

On Friday, March 8, 2024, we will be hosting a screening of the movie where we will enjoy some of Ivan’s favorite snacks, yogurt covered raisins and bananas, as we watch the adventure unfold.

This film is rated PG!

If for any reason you have concerns about your child viewing this movie, please let me know as soon as possible. We will make other arrangements for your child during that time!

We would like to invite you to present at our 2024 Career Day at Bill Burden Elementary. We know how valuable your time is, and we would love it if you could spend a few hours with our students and share a little about your career.

When: Monday. May 6th from 8:30-10:45

Where: Bill Burden Elementary School

What/How: Presenters will speak to four groups of students (grades 3-5) who will rotate through the presentation every 30 minutes. Tools of the trade and visual aids such as slides or pictures work well with students. Each room is equipped with a monitor and laptop with the capability to project. It may work best to put your presentation on Google Drive. Please note that we do not have clickers for slideshows though you are welcome to bring yours. If any additional equipment is needed place let Laura Elder know.

Parents are welcome to bring commercially prepared baked goods or non edible ‘goodies.’ Treats will be shared on Fridays during the last 15 minutes of the school day as stated  in the BBE Student Handbook. Reminder: No parents will be allowed in the classroom to celebrate birthdays at this time.
