Mrs. Mary Chamberlin

Mrs. Chamberlin hails from Goshen, IN, where she graduated from Bethany Christian High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Goshen College. Prior to Liberty Center, Mrs. Chamberlin taught elementary music for 5 years in Indiana, first at Argos Schools, then for the Goshen Community School District. In 2002 Mrs. Chamberlin and her family moved to Ohio and began serving as the Director of Vocal Music for Liberty Center Schools.

Mrs. Chamberlin directs 5 choir classes and also teaches an introduction to ukulele for sixth grade music.

Mr. Nick Riley

Band 5-12,

Music 5

Music Appreciation

Mr. Riley is from Centerville, Ohio where he graduated from Centerville HS in 2007. At Centerville, he was a member of the nationally recognized band and indoor drumline programs. He received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 2011 where he studied music education with James Swearingen; percussion with Bob Breithaupt, Nate Anders, and Eric Paton; and music composition with Tony Zilincik and Dr. Dina Lentsner. Mr. Riley has been the band director at Liberty Center Local Schools since 2012 where he directs all four bands and teaches 5th grade general music and high school music appreciation.

Mr. Riley is an extremely active composer/arranger for the marching arts having written over 600 compositions for nearly 60 different ensembles nationwide. In addition to his regular marching band and indoor drumline clientele, he is also the percussion composer/arranger for the Medellin Gran Banda Drum and Bugle Corps of Medellin, Colombia, South America. He is a former staff member for Legends, Pioneer, and Colts Drum and Bugle Corps.

In the winter months, Mr. Riley is very active in the indoor percussion community as Founder, President, Development Coordinator, and Front Ensemble Instructor for ConneXus, a PIW indoor percussion ensemble from central Ohio. ConneXus is a 4-time WGI Regional Champion and a 4-time WGI World Championships Finalist.

Mr. Riley also judges marching band actively for OMEA and CSJA, specializing in percussion and music general effect. He has been on the MSBA Circuit Championships judge panel since 2017 and has judged in 6 states since beginning his adjudications career in 2012.

Mr. Riley's professional affiliations include OMEA, CSJA, PFCJ, PAS, and NAfME. He is proud to hold endorsements from Vic Firth, Sabian, Black Swamp Percussion, and Evans/D'Addario. He currently resides in Perrysburg, Ohio.
