K-5 Music Game: 2 Players

Here's what you do:

  • Get 4 colors of paper for 2 people. This could be white paper you decorate or colored paper.
  • Play music with a steady beat.
  • One person is the leader. Leader plays a pattern of 4 beats.
  • The other person is the copycat. Copycat tries to echo those 4 beats by hitting their papers.
    • If they get it right, leader plays it again and adds 1 more beat. Copycat keeps copying until they get it wrong.
    • If the copycat gets it wrong, the jobs switch.
  • Based on the classic game "Simon" with a beat-keeping element.
