Welcome! It's an honor and a blessing to be a member of Liberty Charter High School's Math team as you continue your math learning experience and journey to higher education. I hope to impart a wealth of knowledge and experience which I have gained. At LCHS, we focus on respect, responsibility, integrity, grit, effort and teamwork. These values drive classroom interactions. In addition, the vision of mathematics at LCHS is to develop leaders who are equipped to meet the ever-changing challenges of the 21st century. This demands mathematical skills and understanding, along with the ability to use appropriate technology to problem solve. Our goal is to provide students with those skills so that they can be a positive influence in our society.
I feel honored and blessed to be a part of Liberty's Math Department. I enlisted in the Navy and started out as a Machinist Mate under the Nuclear Power Program. After a couple of years, I earned an NROTC scholarship from the Navy and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at USC, and received a commission and served the rest of my twenty years traveling over 40 countries throughout the world. After I retired from the Navy, I served as a Senior Engineer/Technical Integrator for the Navy while I earned my Master's in Education with a Specialization in Teaching Mathematics from National University. For fun, I enjoy, sailing, diving, cycling, camping, hiking, anything tech and spending time with my wife and five kids.
