DUE June 3rd. (Only required for those who have not completed the first two projects)
Good news!! If you have completed the first two projects...you DO NOT need to do the third!! For adventure school art you are only required to do 2 out of the 3 projects.
If you have not completed two projects yet, you may choose to do any two of the three options. All projects are due by Tuesday June 3, 2020.
You will need a paper, pencil, and some sort of coloring medium. You do not need to use the video for the third project...the task is simply to draw what is outside your window! You may use the video to help you with ideas and steps, but it is not necessary.
Please note: The project must be emailed to me at jennifer.galvin@lfcsinc.org . Do not send it to your classroom teacher and do not submit to google classroom. Thank you!
Feel free just to pop me an email or send me a video to check in! Would love to see your face! jennifer.galvin@lfcsinc.org
DUE May 21st: Build upon your shading and value skills to create an Optical Illusion piece.
We are on to our Second Project: Optical Illusion Art! See below for the video and examples. It is due by THURSDAY, MAY 21, 2020.
You will need: 1. a pencil or pen to draw your lines 2. paper (cardstock or construction paper is best but not necessary) 3. A color medium: crayons, colored pencils, markers, or oil pastels
There will be no rubric. Instead please email me a picture of your work and the following short response:
The mood you chose
Three things you did well
Two things you could have done better
Please note: The project may be turned in to the 6th Grade Art google classroom (NOT YOUR TEACHER'S Google Classroom) or may be emailed to me at jennifer.galvin@lfcsinc.org. Do not send it to your classroom teacher and do not submit to their google classroom. Thank you!
You may use any art supplies you like but will get the best result with crayons or colored pencils. These will allow you to get different values of color from the same crayon (by pressing harder or lighter like you did with the pencil on the Sphere project). If you must use marker, try using light and dark versions of the same color (example: a light blue and dark blue) in the same space to create value.
DUE April 9: Using value to create form in Art. You may use regular pencils to complete the assignment instead of charcoal.
Use the template here or you may use a stencil to draw a circle before you begin shading. Remember to also shade/draw a value scale with at least 6 different values.
