Physical Science 2019-2020
JUNE
My room is clean. Empty. Except for the fish - which are doing very well. I've learned leaving things alone seems to be better than constant fussing over them - hmmmm. Less stress too!! :) I've put in grades and am working on averages. I know we still don't know a lot about what next year will look like. In the future I am happy to tutor Biology and Chemistry. If you need help, pop by to see me!! I did little diving in Lake Murray (still a bit chilly) and hope to travel to San Pedro Island off the coast of Belize (they have no Covid cases) in July. Keep in touch and let me know how you are doing! Ms. R
Cool resources: Chem4Kids, Tyler Dewitt, Bozeman Science, Online field trips and more: Stuck at Home Science from the California Science Center - activities for all ages!!

May 27/28 - Review the ppt and video below
Chemical Reactions Resources: Ppt, Video (by me, explains evidence of chem reactions, types of chem reactions and how to balance chemical equations and why)
The Power Point and a video to go along with this material are linked above. If you get confused, check those out. In balancing equations we are MULTIPLYING the coefficient times the number of atoms in the formula for ex. in H2O there are 2 hydrogens and one oxygen. If I were to put a 3 in front of H2O that means I would have 3 H2O molecules which gives me a total of 6 hydrogens (3 x 2 = 6) and 3 oxygens, (3 x 1 = 3). Hope this helps!
