Hi! My name is Rachel Shealy and I am the Band Director at Chapin Middle School. This will be my fourth year teaching.  I'm looking forward to a great year!

I'm originally from SC, and I graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental Music Education.  While at Furman, I performed with the Symphony Orchestra, Marching Band, and Jazz Band.  I previously taught band in Aiken County and orchestra here at Chapin.

My professional affiliations are with the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the South Carolina Band Director's Association (SCBDA).  I enjoy performing in multiple different ensembles and playing music whenever I can! In my free time I also enjoy hiking and reading.
