About Me

I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. After high school, I earned my Bachelors Degree in adolescent education and history from Canisius College and my Masters Degree in literacy from the University at Buffalo. In addition to holding my middle level and high school certification in social studies, I am also a certified reading teacher.

After completing two long term substitute positions in Buffalo, I found a permanent teaching position in Lexington School District 4. Having an aunt and uncle that worked in District 5, I've always wanted to work in this district. After two years of teaching 8th grade in Lexington 4, I was hired by Irmo Middle. After three years at Irmo, I am now at Dutch Fork Middle! This is my fourth year in the "fox den" am so happy to be here for the 2020-21 school year!

When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and my daughter, Josie, who was born in April! I also love to read, bake, and shop!
