Welcome Parents and students!

My name is Amanda Partrich. I am from Ecuador, South America.  I have been married to my wonderful husband Walt for 15 years. My husband and I love traveling and seeing this beautiful world and working with international students at our church.

It has been a wonderful opportunity and privilege to teach my language and share my culture here in SC to these fantastic students.! This is my 22th year of teaching in district five, 8 of them have been here at CRIS. It is so rewarding when my students enter my classroom without much knowledge of the language and at the end of the course, they are able to understand and carry on a simple conversation.

I strive for excellence and hard work. I believe that my student’s success depends upon me as their teacher and their hard work throughout the semester. The students who have been learning their vocabulary, have been actively involved in the learning process, and have done their homework without a doubt will be well prepared to take Spanish 1.  

Students will learn through direct instruction, teacher-directed activities, role-playing, questioning, partner and small group activities, art, music, food, dance, games, and projects related to a specific unit to foster communication in Spanish. Also, students will be introduced to some interesting facts of the Spanish-speaking world and be exposed to elements of Hispanic culture that are related to the topic of the lesson.
