About Ms. Bell

Lead School Counselor

Ms. Dione Bell, NBCT, GCDF

As a certified Professional School Counselor, I proudly direct the CIS School Counseling Program. I have over twenty years of experience. I have worked in public education as a School Counselor for school districts in North Carolina, Georgia, Oklahoma, and now, South Carolina. I am National Board Certified (NBCT) in the area of Early Childhood through Young Adulthood/School Counseling . In addition, I am a certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) and I am a member of the National Career Development Association. I earned a B.A. in English and Secondary Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a M.A. in Counseling and Psychological Services with a concentration in School Counseling from Clark Atlanta University.

While I have worked with students in all developmental stages (elementary, middle and high school settings) now, I am excited to add the intermediate school setting to my list of accomplishments.

In keeping with the mission of our School Counseling Program, my objective is to have a comprehensive school counseling program that is preventative in nature based on the American School Counseling Association model and mindsets. My goal is to effectively meet the needs of our students and families.
