This is my second year as a certified teacher, but my fifth year working in a school. Prior to working at DFES, I worked as the Expectations Coach at Leaphart Elementary School - where I earned Support Employee of the Year for 24-25. I've dedicated my career to Special Education after graduating from Columbia College with a degree in PK-12 Multi-categorical Special Education. I also earned a Master's of Education in Trauma Informed Education (TIE) from Columbia College. Education is a family affair as my wife is also a Special Education teacher. Together, we're raising our three sons and caring for our four dogs in a home filled with love and learning. Outside of our professional lives, we're diehard Carolina Gamecocks fans. You'll find us at every home game in Williams Brice Stadium, where we love to tailgate and cheer on our team.

I teach students who receive specialized academic and social/emotional instruction. The students in my class have individual schedules based on the service minutes outlined in their IEP(s). Please reach out to me for your child's individual schedule.

I taught at Lake Murray Presbyterian for 6 years in 3-4K. Prior to that I wrote and taught curriculum at Riverbanks Zoo and EdVenture Children's Museum.

About Me:
When I am not teaching you can find me hanging out with my 3 boys and husband on the lake, watching football, or on the soccer/football fields. I am a graduate of Chapin High and Clemson University - GO TIGERS!!!
