Bonjour! I am originally from the Chicago area. I attended Michigan State University on a swimming scholarship, earning a B.A. in French and later a M.A. in Counseling Psychology. I had the opportunity to live and study in both Paris and Nice, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in the French language and culture. Since 2017, I’ve been proud to teach at Chapin Middle School. My husband and I have two children—our son graduated from Chapin High School in 2020 and from the College of Charleston in 2024, and our daughter is currently attending the College of the Florida Keys. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy scuba diving, photography, boating, swimming, and exploring new places through travel.
"Learning a foreign language, and the culture that goes with it, is one of the most useful things we can do to broaden the empathy and imaginative sympathy and cultural outlook of children." -Michael Gove
