For the past 29 years I have been blessed to call Lake Murray Elementary my home school.  I grew up in Florence, SC and moved to Columbia to attend graduate school at USC and start my teaching career. During my time at LMES, I have taught students in grades 2-5 and served in numerous leadership positions in our school. For the past ten years my focus has been on working with upper elementary math students and teachers. I am a passionate educator that is always working hard to find ways to improve my mathematics and science instructional strategies to provide engaging and challenging lessons for my students. If you visit my classroom, you will see kids talking about math, taking risks, making mistakes, growing, learning and working hard in a safe space with a teacher that loves them, wants to support them and will be their biggest cheerleader this year. It’s going to be a great year!
