All About Me!

Let me share some interesting facts about me!

Family: I have 2 amazing children, Eloise (8) and Finn (6). Eloise is going into the third grade and Finn is entering first grade. They go to school in Belmont where they are super excited to be back in person. They've missed school-the physical building!

Professional: I grew up in Wakefield, MA. I went to college in Vermont (University of Vermont) and studied Elementary Education and Communication Science (Speech). I attended graduate school at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. where I specialized in Reading.

Teaching: I started my teaching career in Winthrop, MA and taught first grade for three years. I absolutely LOVED the town of Winthrop. My colleagues were so young and vibrant! The school was a K-2 school so there was such an emphasis on early childhood education.

Next, I went to Lexington and became a Reading Specialist at Bridge/Bowman schools. It was fantastic to get a feel for the different buildings. I have been at Fiske school teaching both second and first grade for the past 15 years. It's been such a joy and pleasure working with Fiske Families for this long a time!

I cannot believe this is my 22nd year of teaching...I have to say this year I have a renewed excitement for teaching. Last year I was remote, so it is absolutely wonderful to be back in the Fiske building!
