The LPS Visual Art Department is proud to host the second annual Veterans Day Art Project in collaboration with the Lexington Town Celebration Committee.

We are inviting Lexington High School Students and local homeschooled students to submit artworks responding to the prompt Honoring Our Veterans. Students may submit photo, sculpture, drawing, painting, digital work, or video.

Selected work will be on display on November 5 for the town Veterans' Parade at which students and their families will meet Veterans and community members, be seated in the VIP section during the ceremony, and be acknowledged for their artistic contribution to the event. Students will receive a certificate of recognition and be included in the press release.

Participating LHS students will receive 4 Community Service Hours.

Lexington is a town with a diverse community of military veterans who have served in United States Armed Forces. You are encouraged to reach out to family members, neighbors, local veterans organizations to learn their stories and create art honoring their service and sacrifice.
