Seniors can visit two colleges for an excused absence. Be sure to stop by the college Admissions Office to get your excuse for the day you visited the campus. (should be on the college letterhead) Turn the note from the college Admissions Office into the PHS Attendance Office upon returning to PHS. You will be marked absent the day you are on the college visit, until you turn in the note from the college Admissions Office.
It's time to apply to college! Most college applications are OPEN!
Check the college's website. For most colleges, you can apply directly through the college website.
Some schools will offer waiver codes during October (College Application Month ~ CAM), but not all schools offer waiver codes.
Check for deadlines! Be sure you know when the application and all parts of the application are due.
Complete all information before submitting the application.
Common App platform is another way to apply to college. If you are applying to multiple colleges, see if this is right for you. This is a free platform. Check if your schools are on the Common App.

Apply to The Citadel
The Citadel has partnered with Common App to provide the application for admission to the Corps of Cadets. The Citadel is a test optional school. No personal essay and no teacher recommendations are required to apply. If you complete the FAFSA by February 15, you will receive a financial aid decision by March 15.

Six South Carolina colleges offer programs for students with disabilities, particularly intellectual and developmental disabilities, through the Think College network. In close collaboration and partnership with Scout Motors, Midlands Technical College has developed a new Electric Vehicle (EV) Engineering Technology Program in addition to offering four other associate degrees that prepare students for EV careers.
The School of STEM (Science, Information Technology, Engineering and Math) designed program integrates electrical and mechanical engineering training. MTC students can now earn a two-year associate degree that allows for the pursuit of high-demand, high-wage careers in EV manufacturing.
