Fitnessgram Testing

September 3-September 9

The Fitnessgram PACER test measures our cardiovascular endurance, or our heart and lungs and how long we can run for.

September 13-18

Students measured their muscular strength and endurance to see how many curl-ups and push-ups they could do.

September 19-24

Students worked independently at a variety of stations, including jump rope, yoga ball launcher, balloon pong, and scooters.

Students also measured their flexibility during the Sit and Reach test, and their body composition with height and weight.

Teamwork and Cooperation

Students will learn how to work together in groups. REMEMBER!!! There's no "I" in TEAM.

August 29-September 3

This week we are continuing to work on Teamwork and Cooperation. Students played a game called "2 Heads are Better Than 1". Pairs worked together to catch a ball in a bucket, then put it between their heads and carry it to their teams trashcan to score a point. Students were able to choose between 3 jobs: thrower, catcher, and blocker.

August 23-28

This week, students work with a small group during the game Cross the River. Students made a plan about how they were going to get across the "toxic river" using poly spots as "rocks". Did you help your team, or hurt your team?

Welcome to BLES Physical Education!

August 19-22

Welcome to the Gym! This year, students will have PE every 4 days. Students need to WEAR SNEAKERS to participate! Students that forget to wear the correct shoes will be sent home an orange "One the Bench" form to get a guardian signature and return to school.
