The Levittown Literacy Initiative’s monthly activity for January was "First Look Friday." "First Look Friday" provided students with a sneak-peak of a book to entice them to want to finish it. It was a simple and fun way to get students excited about reading, while introducing books that students may not have otherwise picked up to read! This year, over the course of the month, Dr. Zirogiannis, our Deputy Superintendent, read several chapters of My Life as a Potato, by Arianne Costner to further encourage a love of reading within our students!

My Life as a Potato

The Unteachables

The Lost Library

Finally, Something Mysterious

But then! Hundreds of rubber duckies have appeared on the lawn of poor Mr. Babbage without any explanation. Finally! There is something that Paul and his friends can actually investigate.
In the face of all these bizarre occurrences, Paul is convinced that uncovering who deposited the duckies will finally bring some sense to what has become an upside-down world. Soon the three friends have a long list of suspects, all with their own motives, but no clear culprit. The Last Bear
