If you would like to keep a copy of your Google Drive files, you can use Google Takeout to download your content before your account becomes inactive.
Go to takeout.google.com
Sign in with your district Google account
Click “Deselect all”
Scroll down and select Google Drive
Click “Next step”
Delivery method: Send download link via email
File type: .zip
File size: Leave default (or choose smaller for easier downloads)
Click “Create export”
Your files will be prepared (this may take time depending on size)
You will receive an email with a download link
Download and save your files to a personal device or account
Be sure to complete this process before your final contract day. Once your account becomes inactive, you will no longer have access to your files.
Do not reset or archive Google Classroom courses. Due to the possible need to access these courses and assignments over the summer, please refrain from doing this.
From 📁Projects, look for the design that you want to copy.
Hover your mouse over its thumbnail, and click on the three dots + More icon that appears, and select Share.
Enter the email address of the account you want to copy the design to.
Set permission setting to Can edit.
Click Send.
Log out of your current account and log into the one where you want to transfer the design.
Open the shared design from the email you received.
From the editor menu bar, click File.
Select Make a copy to duplicate the design in the account you’re on.
You’ll find the copied design in the Designs tab under 📁Projects.
