The students in this continuous one-on-one tutoring course will learn the fundamentals necessary to understand grade-level material. Increased procedural accuracy, conceptual comprehension, and mathematical reasoning in the fields of computation, number sense, geometry, measurement, data analysis, and algebraic thinking will be the main goals of this tutoring session for pupils. Students will participate in interactive presentations, live reactions and feedback utilizing interactive slides, and math games even though the session's objectives are standards-based.
In order to identify where we should work on bridging learning gaps, promoting learning, and enhancing student accomplishment, the first session will begin with a preliminary informal assessment. Following the preliminary evaluation, we will create a program especially for your student. We will email weekly goals and updates for your student so that parents can stay informed about their development.
NOTE: Students who require assistance with math concepts from K–5th grade state requirements can take this class.
Beyond the fifth grade, students may still get tutoring within certain competence limits.
Additionally, we offer tutoring to students who have dyscalculia or are suspected of having it.
Many parents might not be aware of the difficulties because dyscalculia is a relatively new word in the world of education.
Students who suffer from dyscalculia struggle in the following areas:
have trouble understanding numbers
delay learning how to count
Connecting numerical symbols to their appropriate words is difficult in five cases.
have trouble identifying patterns and organizing things
miscount when counting
Need to use visual aids to assist count, such as fingers
Based on years of training and expertise, we have developed a curriculum that will enable your student to advance despite their learning challenges. We employ a variety of evidence-based techniques, including touch point, visual and imaginative exercises, fact family drills, estimation to direct reasoning, mathematical language, and knowledge of real-world problems. Additionally, we design unique presentations and games that will keep students interested in what they are studying.
