The Letran Catalyst Program- LED Teach hosted the launching of the Google Educators Group (GEG) - Intramuros with the intention of training learners and educators about how to navigate the Google Workspace efficiently. Held on March 20, 2023, at the SC Auditorium, delegates from universities across Manila, including Lyceum of the Philippines University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and FEATI University, were also present at the said event.

Ms. Patricia Valderrama- Lead Person of the Letran Catalyst Program revealed that 70% of educators in Colegio de San Juan de Letran are Google Certified Educators are levels 1 and 2. 

The said training started with Mr Isaiah Samson demonstrating how to use Google Space or Google Chat. He ended his presentation by urging the audience to experiment with the new capabilities and offer input for future enhancements. Afterwards, Mr. John Romy Delfin, addressed critical thinking and concentrated on using Google Search. According to him, users may refine search results by utilizing filters and sophisticated search strategies in Google. He then underlined the need to double-check the authenticity of sites discovered through Google searches and asked the audience to critically assess the material before using it.

Collaboration with Google Docs was then highlighted by Ms. Roanne de Guzman, outlining the advantages of utilizing Google Docs as a collaborative application for academic work such as research articles. According to her, Google Docs allows several people to work on the same document simultaneously, saving time and effort. She further emphasized that Google Documents automatically stores modifications made by each user, lowering the chance of data loss due to technological faults. Moving on, Mr. Jerry Escultura's talk focused on becoming creative using Google Slides, where he mentioned how to use each tool and new feature of Google Slides effectively, as well as the advantages of utilizing it instead of Microsoft PowerPoint. He then informed his audience that there are several built-in formal themes that users may apply to make it easier for them to create another template. Additionally, he illustrated how people could add extensions from other programs and websites to Google Slides, using slido.com as an example.

More so, Ms. Patricia Valderrama discussed what the Let's Flex Hyflex Online Resource Portal is by describing the objective of the resource hub and the benefits it provides to the students and teachers of Colegio de San Juan de Letran. This resource portal contains tutorials on how to use Google Workspace. She also encouraged everyone to explore the hub and utilize it as a resource whenever they encounter problems with Google Workspace. Not just that, but the resource hub provides access to various educational materials and tools that can aid in enhancing their teaching and learning experiences. To formally end, Assoc. Prof. Cristina M. Castro-Cabral, Ph.D.- Vice President for Academic Affairs reminded everyone to embrace new experiences and opportunities for personal growth.
