8 Week SAT Prep Program

The Program
The Leonia School District will be offering an inexpensive but comprehensive SAT Prep program for High School students, grades 9-12; the program will be offering Mathematics in person or virtual, and Reading virtually for this session (subject to change).
(Maximum 25 students)
9th & 10th Grade ONLY
This course will introduce and prepare students for the SAT Test by previewing test-taking strategies, best practices for answering questions, time-management plans, and a few tricks of the trade. The pace of this course will not allow for any individualized support on topics.

This course will prepare students for test day by reviewing the specific content on the SAT so that students can better assess their own mastery of these topics. The pace will focus on what content students should know before taking the test and will allow for individualized support on topics. As topics are introduced, strategies for test-taking will be modeled.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
When Will the Program Take Place?
Date: 01/22/2024 - 03/7/2024
Classes will be in person at LHS on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 3:30pm - 5:30pm or Fridays from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Strategies for Success on the SAT - Evidence Based Readings - Fridays from 3:00pm - 5:00pm
For preparation for the March 9th SAT
Available to any Bergen County high school student, grades 9-12
To guarantee a seat in a particular class, the deadline for registration is January 17, 2024
After January 17th, a student can register if seats are still available
What's the Schedule?
Each class will wil meet once per week . Students will be placed in one of the available sections.
(14 hours of Mathematics prep)
Includes two practice tests - The pre-test will be available out side of the 14 hours of in-class preparation.
(14 hours of Evidence Based Reading and Writing)
Including two practice tests - The pre-test will be available outside of the 14 hours of in-class preparation.
TUITION COSTS
Full Program - Math AND Evidence-Based Reading
Tuition: $400 for both Math and Evidence-Based Reading
Included in tuition cost: SAT PREP materials and practice tests
Tuition assistance will be provided for our economically disadvantaged students based on participation in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program:

Direct Certification Status
Students not in Free & Reduced Programs - Parents can request subsidies based on their W-2 form.
Partial Program (One Subject Only) -
Math OR Evidence-Based Reading
Tuition: $200 for ONE class
Included in tuition cost: SAT PREP materials and practice tests

Refund Information
After the second week of the program, no refunds will be provided.
If a student withdraws from the program before the second week, a partial refund will be provided based on the week of the program and eBook costs.
