Hello Pre - K !
Welcome to virtual music class! This year may be different, but that is not going to stop us from singing, dancing, and being the best musicians we can be!
This year, all music assignments will be completed at home. Please see our google classroom for more information!

Movement Activities
(make sure students have parent supervision for all activities for safety purposes)
Choose any song (preferably an upbeat one) & play freeze dance. To make it interesting you can ask your child to freeze in a certain pose or with a certain expression (ex. “Freeze like you’re happy/mad/scared” or “Freeze like a chef/soldier/fireman”)
Choose any slow song and have your child move gracefully to the music. Tell them to imagine like they are an ice skater or a ballerina (boys can be ballerinas too!) You can use scarfs to move with your hands or paper plates under your shoes to skate around smooth surfaces.
Most students have been taught the '7 Jumps Dance'. Turn on the song linked below and they should know exactly what to do! (They love it!!) If you would like, I'm sure they would be happy to teach you the dance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yp5yzaWfAng
