The School Games Mark has had a complete overhaul. The new framework mirrors current SGO priorities. The end goal is to ensure that schools find ways to motivate all pupils to raise daily activity levels and create life-long healthy routines. In addition you will be asked to expand on HOW you are using the Commonwealth Games to inspire and engage young people.
Find out more at our Primary PE Conference.
The new criteria can be found on your dashboard OR click on this link Sutton SSP 2021/22 to find out more.

LYG PLAYWAZE APP
If your school wins a LYG borough competition and wish to attend the finals, all team managers must register for this app. SGOs will enter your team as a winner and team manager’s details will then automatically appear and you can be contacted easily with the details for the event.
New year cross country events
Last month we held two new cross-country events. These were held in place of the SHA competitions which were not able to take place in January due to high Covid levels. Despite the short notice, they were very well supported and enjoyed by all.
It is hoped that this can be a regular feature on the calendar going forward, particularly focussing on Y3 in preparation for the more challenging cross country held in October.
Our grateful thanks go to Beddington Cricket Club and Carshalton Football Club for allowing us to use their grounds.
Spring 1 festivals: Handball
Festival season has continued with handball and climbing on the menu in January. The two handball events were supported by the current Carshalton Boys Supremos who did a fantastic job coaching a skills circuit followed by fun, non-scoring games.
Team building festival
The team building festival was also a first for primary students at Carshalton Boys this week. During this session, we worked on communication and collaboration skills by taking part in plank walking, gutter ball, chain relay races & capture the flag!
