Spring term is complete!
We finished the term with the first face to face, whole school assembly in two years. It was both an emotional and uplifting experience and the children were exceptional. The oldest children led the way and acted as role models for the youngest children and the youngest children looked up to the older ones for guidance on what to do, it was a wonderful demonstration of 'Togetherness'.
As we always do at the end of the term we celebrated our collective success but also a wealth of individual achievements. Take a look below at some of the awards presented.
We have had such a great Spring term and we have been really impressed with the progress the children are making. We wanted to capture this for the children so we put together the following slideshow to share with them today.
Well-being Workshops
This week all children across the school took part in well-being workshops facilitated by the YMCA. They focused on teaching children the importance of understanding our emotions, whilst also learning some vital self-care techniques.
This week we have been learning....

Online Safety
Children are spending increasing amounts of time on line, and whilst there are many benefits, there are also many risks. The Easter holidays may give you the opportunity to talk to your children about what they do on line. The NSPCC has lots of useful information about how to do this.

Achivements out of school
A big well done to Bella who has been doing 2 things to work towards completing her 100-day Challenge. One was making her bed 100 times and the other one was trying to raise £100 towards her 'Where’s Wally?' virtual run in aid of National Literacy Trust. Last Saturday Bella and her family completed her task and hit her target of £100.
Shawley Fundraisers
School Lottery
Shawley's school lottery has been set up specifically to raise money and make a difference for our children! It's a fantastic way to bring parents, carers, staff and the wider community together, in partnership with our school, and at the same time give something back. We hope to raise funds that can support and enrich the education of our children - we aim to provide extra resources for the children, improve the school environment as well as run extracurricular activities such as music, art and sport.
Join today! Click here to access the Your School Lottery website to learn more about how it works and how to join.
Your support is greatly appreciated and we wish you good luck!
